ROUTE-RISK INTELLIGENCE

Conventional routers minimize time

The RRSM adds a validated route-risk signal

The Route Risk Scoring Model (RRSM) adds a validated measure of route risk — so fleets can choose a lower-risk route and keep a documented, defensible record that they did (provable diligence)

  • A two-signal score (crash-history + road-structure) that is never-blind — it still scores roads with no crash history — delivered nationwide and tier-labeled by confidence. Fuller architecture detail is available under NDA (publishing it is a counsel decision — on hold)

  • Provider-agnostic and zero cloud-SDK lock-in. Send a route or origin → destination; receive a lower-risk route, a risk band, and a tier label. Partners never receive the model. Request API docs under NDA

  • Independently validated predictive discrimination: on a national fatal-crash back-test the RRSM was non-inferior to an established benchmark — it ranks fatal-risk locations well. Risk-ranking skill (discrimination), not crash reduction, and tier-specific

  • Safe Ops delivers score → band → geometry; your partner owns coaching and the human-in-the-loop. Safe Ops issues no protocol

How it works

A validated risk signal, in three steps.

1

Send a route

Pass a route — or an origin → destination — to the API.

2

RRSM scores it

It combines a crash-history signal with a road-structure signal — never-blind — and returns a lower-risk alternative with a risk band and tier label.

3

Log the recommendation

The prospective-prediction ledger writes a timestamped record — provable diligence.

Boundary: partners receive route + band + tier only — never the underlying model.
01 · Use case

Fleets

Lower-risk routing plus a documented standard-of-care record. Route with, and prove, diligence.

02 · Use case

Insurers & brokers

A route-risk signal for underwriting, loss-prevention differentiation, and portfolio triage.

03 · Use case

Mobility & telematics platforms

Embed RRSM via API to add a risk layer to your routing — provider-agnostic, zero lock-in, white-labelable.

Built by operators, validated by engineers. Safe Ops was founded by Ben Sions and Matt P. Kelly on one insight — that route risk can be scored before the trip — now the patent-pending RRSM.
